Twenty-two teams will take part in the event organised by the Council’s Youth Service at Eastbourne Sports Centre on Thursday August 14.
Young players, aged 11 to 19 from all over the Borough, will compete in the third of four tournaments being held during the summer holidays.
A trophy will be awarded to the winning team in both the 11 to 14 age group and the 14 to 19 age group.
Chris McEwan, Darlington Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “These five-a-side tournaments are proving very popular and hundreds of young people from right across the Borough are enjoying taking part.
“The Youth Service has organised a wide range of activities for young people during the summer holidays and I am delighted that events, like this, are proving so popular.”
The final tournament will take place at South Park on Thursday August 21. Any teams that would like to take part should contact James Gilbey on (01325) 465947 or e-mail james.gilbey@darlington.gov.uk before Monday August 18.
