Street Scene, Groundwork and the Council’s uniformed wardens will be taking part in a range of activities including street cleaning, litter picks, graffiti removal and planting hanging basket.
Residents have said what areas of the street they would like to see improved and it is hoped once the work is complete people will make sure the area outside their house remains clean and tidy.
The spring clean marks the end of this year’s Street Scene Spring Clean, which has seen residents throughout the Borough telling Street Scene what areas need attention.
Throughout the campaign, Street Scene workers have dealt with fly tipping, dog fouling and graffiti.
Bill Dixon, Darlington Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Services and Community Safety, said: “The action day in Borough Road will allow us to target problems and concerns raised by residents.
“We want people to have pride in the place they live and by suggesting areas for the spring clean, residents will see how their efforts can make a real difference.”
