Click For Everything To Do, set up by the Council’s Youth Service, aims to list everything available for young people aged 13 to 19 to do in Darlington.
Activities provided by the private, public and voluntary sector will be included on the website which will be regularly updated.
Anyone who wants their group to be listed on the site is invited to a drop-in session in the next week, where they can find out more about the site and how to use it.
Young people from the groups are also invited to come along and have their say on how their group’s entry should look.
The next session is Wednesday June 18 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Willow Road Community Centre, Willow Road.
There is another session on Thursday June 19 from 1pm to 7pm at the Arts Centre, Vane Terrace and the final session is on Friday Jine 20 between 9am and 4pm at Crown Street Library.
Chris McEwan, Darlington Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Click will be a great resource for young people who are looking for things to do in their spare time.
”It will also help us see what activities are already available in the Borough and where more work is needed to provide the kind of activities that young people want to take part in.”
It is hoped the website can be launched next month.
There is no need to book a place on the workshops but if you would like more information please contact Joanne King, Youth Offer Co-ordinator, on (01325) 346549 or e-mail joanne.king@darlington.gov.uk
Click will be officially launched next month.
