Clearing Snow from Pavements: The government has written a Snow Code [external link] providing advice and guidance on clearing snow from pavements yourself.

[06/02/12] The footway on the eastern side of North Road (between the railway bridge and North side of Albert Road) will be closed for approximately 1 month from 06/02/12. There will be a diversionary route for pedestrians. This is part of the North Road Bus Priority Scheme works.
[23/01/12] The Highways Agency [external link] is resurfacing the section of the A66 between Little Burdon and Long Newton. It begins on January 23 and is due to be completed by March 2.
[12/01/12] North Road Bus Priority Scheme works will start on Monday 16th January 2012 and are expected to take nine months, during which time there may be disruption to traffic and bus services. Where possible advance warning of disruption will be provided.
The North Road Bus Priority Scheme is part of the £57.6m Department for Transport funded Tees Valley Bus Network Improvement Project, a package of measures aimed at improving the reliability and punctuality of bus services across the Tees Valley
[10/05/11] A section of Darlington’s Park Place West car park will be closed and fenced off from May 2011 for a period of up to 12 months.
A significant proportion of the car park is still available to the public and a pedestrian route through to the Ring Road will be maintained. Alternative parking can be found in the Park Place East car park.
