Are you under 18 and caring for a parent, grandparent, brother or sister who has a mental or physical illness, abuses alcohol or drugs or who has HIV/AIDS?
If so, you might be interested in Timeout, Darlington’s Young Carers Project, which offers children and young people under the age of 18 a break from their caring responsibilities.
Two groups each meet once a week (one for 8 - 12 year olds and one for those aged 12 and over) and a variety of activities are on offer including trips away during school holidays.
