A newsletter aimed at deaf and hearing impaired people in Darlington is produced quarterly. It gives people the opportunity to share information, hints and events taking place.

Below is a list of all centres and clubs for people in Darlington.
Darlington Deaf Centre
A social centre for deaf people who are sign language users and hearing people who have an interest in deaf issues. Activities include raffles and bingo. New members are always welcome. Telephone 01325 346727 or Fax 01325 346457

Hard of Hearing Club
A group for people with a hearing loss, usually hearing aid users. Indoor activities and light refreshments are provided. It is open to anyone. Telephone or Fax 01325 350232
When? - Thursday 7.00pm to 9.00pm.
Where? - Havelock Centre, Katherine Street, Darlington.
Darlington Deaf Older Persons’ Group
A social group for people who are deaf and over the age of fifty. Activities include raffles, bingo and also outdoor events. Telephone 01325 346727 or Fax 01325 346457
When? - Monday 12.30pm to 3.00pm
Where? - The Boardroom on the first floor at the Darlington CVS Centre on Church Row.
Dual Sensory Loss Group
A newly launched group for people who have both a visual and hearing imapirment. Activities include day trips and bingo. Telephone 01325 346727 or Fax 01325 346457
When? - Every other Thursday 2.00pm to 4.00pm
Where? - Darlington Social Club for the Blind, 73 Corporation Road, Darlington.
Lip-Reading Group
This is a course taught by a qualified tutor. Anyone who has lost their hearing fully or partially is welcome to join. The course provides the opportunity to learn to lip read and meet other people who have a hearing loss. Telephone 01325 346880 or Fax 01325 346457
