Caring for someone

Support is available for people who are caring for a family member or friend who need support as a result of age, physical or sensory impairment, learning disability or mental ill-health.

Many people do not see themselves as carers. As a result they often don't realise there is help and support available for them as well as the person they care for. Carers can also request an assessment of their own needs as a carer.
