Self Directed Support

You are the best person to say what's right for you.  Self Directed Support is about people organising and having control over their own support.  A Personal Budget gives you choice and control of what social care support and services you have to be as independent as possible.

This section provides information on the 7 steps (pdf document) to self directed support from completing a Supported Self Assessment Questionnaire (Word document), support planning, having the support plan agreed, managing the budget, setting up the support, being accountable and enjoying life (review).

Further information on Self Directed Support can also be found in the leaflet 'A Brief Guide to Self Directed Support' (pdf document) and "A Guide to Self Directed Support and Personal Budgets" (pdf document)
