Young Carers
Darlington YMCA Time Out Young Carers Project, Unit 4, Beaumont Street, Houndgate, Darlington.
We provide support to any young person who is caring for, or helping to care for a member of their family.
The following types of support are available from the YMCA Young Carers service;
- Time Out Group Activities (giving young carers a chance to gain peer support and take time out from their caring role)
- One to one listening service
- School support
The YMCA Young Carers service also;
- Deliver assemblies and workshops in school to raise awareness of Young Carers
- Deliver awareness sessions to other agencies
- Liaise with statutory and other voluntary organisations.
