Darlington Time Out Young Carers Project, Unit 4, Beaumont Street, Houndgate, Darlington
We provide support to any young person who is caring for, or helping to care for a member of their family.
The following types of support may be offered: time-out activity groups providing a wide range of fun activities as well as activities of an educational or community theme. These groups provide an opportunity to meet other young carers, offer peer support and time out of the caring situation.
Young carers, who as a result of their caring roles, require additional support, information and mentoring; school based support and awareness raising sessions; signposting and liaison with other statutory/voluntary organizations; IT training and weekend drop-in can also access these services.
