GOLD is an organisation for older people and their family and friends in the Darlington area. We want all older people to be able to participate in their community and feel respected as both citizens and individuals.
We are supported by Darlington Borough Council and Darlington Primary Care Trust.
We organise task groups where older people can comment on the issues that affect them. GOLD members have been responsible for many policy changes in Darlington, in areas such as: transport, the environment, health and community safety. We also organise social events and get-togethers.
