Welfare To Work

The vision of Welfare to Work is to ensure that disabled people of working age are provided with services which take account of, and as far as possible maximize their capacity to take up, remain in or return to work.  This also applies to carers of those individuals.

What is Advance Employment?

The Morrison Enterprise Trust in partnership with Darlington Borough Council set up Advance Employment, which is a supported employment service to help you find a job.

Am I Eligible?

You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

  • You live in the Darlington Borough Council Area
  • You are Unemployed
  • You have a disability
  • You want to work

What about Advance Employment for young people with disabilities?

This service is open to young people also, and you are eligible if:

What is the Job Brokering Service?

The Morrison Enterprise Trust in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, Benefits Agency, Darlington Borough Council and the Darlington Partnership provide a Job Brokering service for people currently in receipt of Health Related Benefits but who wish to return to employment in either a Part Time or Full Time capacity.

The project is delivered from Morton Park Business Training Centre and offers a range of support packages which enable you to consider suitable employment opportunities which meet your personal circumstances.
