Readers Panel
The Readers Panel is a group of tenants who give their time voluntarily to read leaflets and newsletters to make sure that we haven’t filled them with jargon that people won’t understand. Leaflets and other publications that have been to the Readers Panel have the panel logo to show that it has been passed by them.
During the last 12 months the Readers Panel have worked on:
- The review of rent, direct debit, supported housing and choice based lettings letters
- The Tenants Handbook and Internal Planned Maintenance Booklet
- The Getting Involved leaflet
- Web site consultation
- A Jargon Buster
- The Home Information Pack for tenants of new build properties
- The review of the Pet Policy and Sub –letting information
- Members of the group are on the Tenant Empowerment Strategy review group and the Tenants’ Board AGM group
- They have also been involved in producing the Annual Tenants’ Report and Local Offers
