Housing Advisory Officers offer a wide-ranging service to anyone wanting accommodation and especially to those who are homeless or in danger of losing their home.  Our Advisors try to prevent homelessness before it reaches a crisis situation, by talking and negotiating with private landlords and acting as mediators.

They also provide specialist advice on:

  • Hospital discharge
  • Health issues
  • Ex-offenders
  • Young People
  • Domestic Abuse

An emergency service is provided by the Emergency Duty Team on 08702 402994

This is an emergency service only and other options should be looked at first.

The Emergency Team will:

  • Try to prevent you losing your current home, where possible.
  • Provide temporary accommodation if necessary
  • Explore options such as staying with family or friends while helping you find somewhere else to live.
  • Help you to contact other housing providers who may be able to help.
