Housing Options

Our Housing Options Service gives you information and guidance on a wide range of housing options.  Our team of Advisors can also direct you to other specialist services in Darlington that can help you with your housing needs.  Our Advisors can be contacted by visiting the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall.   No appointment is necessary, our advisors will be pleased to help you.

In order to protect your personal details under the Data Protection Act 1998 we will not discuss your housing options with anyone other than yourself without authorisation to do so.  If  you wish us to speak to someone acting on your behalf please complete an Access to Personal Information form and return it to Housing Services and we will be pleased to do so.

We encourage anyone threatened with homelessness to come to us as soon as possible.  We will give advice and explore all options available.  It is often possible to maintain your home.  We will also make sure you are linked to legal support, welfare benefit and debt management advice services, if appropriate.
