HOT WATER STORAGE CYLINDERS
Following the recent reports in the National Media regarding the tragic death of a baby who died after being scalded by water from a faulty immersion heater. We feel it is necessary to act on the advice of the Health and Safety Executive to inform tenants of the tell tale signs that may lead to a rar incidence of this nature.
Warning Signs Tenants Should Watch for:
- Excessively hot water coming out of the hot water taps
- Excessive noise or 'bubbling' from the hot water cylinder
- Hot water coming out of certain cold water taps (some storage cisters also feed cold water taps in the bathroom)
- Steam /moister in the roof space.
If you should experience problems of this nature you should switch off your system and call our contact centre for an appointnment with an Electrician.
