Will there be a fee?
A fee will be charged for the licence to manage your HMO and this fee will reflect the real costs of administering, and managing the HMO licensing scheme in Darlington.
A separate fee will be set for each property. A licence may not relate to more than one property and is not transferable to a different property, or to a different person.
Additional charges may also be made for work carried out in connection with your HMO not covered by the initial licence fee. You will receive a breakdown of what your licence fee pays for. A licence will normally last for a maximum of five years, although it can be for a shorter period.
