Are there any penalties if I default on the LAS?
Yes – if you deliberately mislead the administrators of the LAS, or you fail to maintain your obligations as an Accredited Landlord (as stated in the Code of Standards), or you bring the LAS into disrepute then you can be excluded from the Scheme for a period as determined or indefinitely.
Landlords who lose their Accredited status will no longer be members of the LAS or be eligible for any of the benefits of the Scheme.
