What is housing related support?

Two people shaking hands

The main aim of 'housing related support' is to develop and sustain an individuals capacity to live independently in their accommodation. To do this the different groups of people who we help to support all need different types of support at differing levels. Some examples of housing related support are:

  • Help with managing money and paying bills
  • Help with understanding the rights and responsibilities of a tenancy agreement.
  • Signposting to other agencies - such as drug & alcohol services, education and employment agencies.
  • Provision of a community alarm service, or a warden or scheme manager
  • Help with house hold tasks
