Improvements
We want our tenants to live in homes that are modern, warm, comfortable and are of a good standard. In order to achieve this we provide new kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems through a planned programme of works, ensuring that every year our properties are being improved.
The works which are carried out within each property will be decided by individual surveys. Further information on colour choices appear under the Design page
The internal planned maintenance may include the following:
- Replacing your kitchen fittings
- Replacing your bathroom suite (in ground floor flats and bungalows the bath will be replaced with a level access shower)
- Upgrading your central heating
- Replacement and or upgrade to electrical wiring, including the fitting of fixed smoke and heat detectors
The Decent Standard/The Darlington Standard
The Government has set guidelines as to what constitutes a decent standard of accommodation here in Darlington we not only achieve this but exceed the guidelines and have our own Darlington Standard.
