Extra Care Sheltered Housing schemes aim to give the older person the means and opportunity to live an active and stimulating life in their own home - whatever their individual requirements in care terms might be.
Oban Court has been extensively refurbished to a very high standard standard of unfurnished self-contained accommodation with a range of additional services such as a wide and spacious hall area, communal facilities, dining area with coffee bar, and all apartments have new kitchens and easy access showers installed.
Meals
A hot two course lunch is provided every day for all residents and served in the dining hall. The menu is wide and varied and changes on a 3-weekly basis. Lunch and desert is available for only £4.08 for residents and £4.93 for visitors. You only have to give 24 hours notice to invite family and friends.
If there is a special event, residents will be notified of any price change in advance.
Please note that all new tenants to the schemes are eligible for the costs of the meals. For those in receipt of full Housing Benefit a reduction may apply.
24 Hour Help at Hand
The Council offer a 24 hour, 7 day a week call service 365 days per year. Each apartment has a Lifeline call system installed, which is linked, directly to the Manager's office or to our control centre when the Manager is off duty. Should you require help either the Manager or the Emergency Response officers will attend.
