Sponsorship
We strive to encourage businesses and organisations to support our intention to enhance and enrich the lives of our residents through partnership in local events, culture, and in the presentation of their surroundings.
By encouraging support of the Civic Theatre and events at South Park, Stressholme and in the town centre, we are able to bring an exciting mix of performance art to our residents and visitors.
We aim to foster and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships; so if you are interested in being involved in any aspect of sponsorship, please visit the links below or contact the Sponsorship Department on 01325 387763 or email heather.barron@darlington.gov.uk

By sponsoring a roundabout, you will be demonstrating your commitment to improving the town, whilst also raising your company’s profile.
Our 21 roundabouts are situated on both the town centre inner ring-road, and on the outer ring-road. Darlington’s position in the Tees Valley means that we receive a huge amount of passing traffic between the A1, Teesside and North Yorkshire.
Listed below are some of the roundabouts currently available for sponsorship :
North West Darlington:
Faverdale - There are three roundabouts on the Faverdale Trading Estate, close to the recently built Argus distribution warehouse, and one roundabout on the residential estate at the junction of Alverton Drive and Charnwood.
North East Darlington:
The landscaped roundabout coming off the A66 at the junction of Whinfield Road and Stockton Road (Haughton Area) is a very busy junction, feeding traffic from Middlesbrough and Stockton through Darlington to the A1.
Central Darlington:
A number of busy roundabouts encircle the town centre at the following junctions:
Northgate/St Augustine’s Way (Marks & Spencer junction)
Parkgate/St Cuthbert’s Way - a main route into the town from Yarm Road and the railway station - with an estimated traffic flow in excess of 80,000 cars a day.
Victoria Road/Feethams (the Barker & Stonehouse junction)
Grange Road/Victoria Road - a major route leading into Darlington from the A1 and past South Park.
South East Darlington:
The roundabout at the junction of McMullen Road and Yarm Road serves the Lingfield Point Business Park, and local retail parks, as well as feeding incoming and outgoing traffic from the A66 for Teesside and the west.
Directly outside the Durham Tees Valley Airport car park, past which every visitor to the airport has to drive. The airport has an annual footfall of 1 million so is a prime location for high profile sponsorship.
