ArtsSpark - Activities for Young People

ArtsSpark is the name and identity for all children and young people’s activities and events at Darlington Arts Centre. The Arts Centre has created this new identity and branding to raise the profile of children and young people’s activities to enhance and support the development of the Arts Centre as a flagship organisation promoting quality arts experiences for children and young people in the Tees Valley.
The ArtsSpark offer includes term time activities for young people, such as our fantastic Youth Theatre with various sessions available for different age groups; starting from age 5.
Our Youth Dance sessions offer a range of styles for young people to try, such as hip hop and street dance; breakdance, contemporary dance; and our youngest group called 'Mix it Up' Dance, exploring a mix of dance styles.
Our BCreative sessions offer a choice of arts and craft activities for young people during term time.
We offer the Arts Award to young people through our Youth Theatre sessions; as well as through partnership working with Schools and through our Darlington Arts and Culture Ambassadors Scheme.
Our Work Experience placements offer young people in year 10 and above the chance to experience what it's like working in a busy and exciting Theatre and Arts Venue.
Our Holiday Workshops offer an array of exciting arts activities for young people through the School holidays.
