Let Your Light Shine Through
The door is opened warmly, a welcome on the lips,
The kettle boils, a drink is made, thoughtfully we sip.
As the dust swirls within shafts of light – enthusiastically,
So ideas grow, thought begin to stream, magically.
An image half finished, the mind’s eye is now clouded,
A gentle word; a new thought given; help leaves the image unshrouded.
As each works, intent on personal goals, within art as in life,
Relaxation begins to spread; peaceful now; forgotten is strife.
A demonstration begins a new hobby, or an old one is reborn.
The time line of our lives is often smooth, or jagged, or maybe torn,
But the serenity of Art holds a healing bright.
Our creations, bold, soft, big or small, touched by inspirational light.
