Trenches and Trinkets: Darlington Crested China Mementos of World War One
Saturday 9th April to Friday 1st July
Exhibition curated by Ian Dougill using collections from HoS, Centre for Local Studies and TV Museums. As railway travel opened up to working people, Crested China became a popular souvenir. During the Great War, the production of crested models of new vehicles, weapons and planes gave the industry a new boost. This exhibition displays Darlington Crested China from the First World War alongside events that shook the world. Normal entrance fee applies.
