Facilities
The superb 18-hole golf course extends over 145 acres and with its picturesque setting and wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area, makes it an extremely pleasant course to play.

The course offers a challenging and varied landscape with the river Skerne looping through the course and encouraging extra skill at the second, third and fourth hole. The second is a difficult 452 yard, par 4 downhill, with a green just nestling in the rivers loop. The third is a short uphill dog leg, par 4, with the river running all the way along its length. At the fourth, a short, but tricky 99 yard hole, tests the nerves, as the tee shot must carry the bend of the river.
The twelfth hole requires a good drive through a narrow and well bunkered part of the course, combines the well matured landscape with some tricky bunkers, whilst the finish is then quite daunting with the final five holes all over 400 yards, including a par 5 16th hole.
Get into Golf is a national initiative aimed at attracting more adults (16+) into the game and hopefully retaining them as regular participants by breaking down the barriers often associated with club membership.
So if you aren't already a club member or regular player and would like to give golf a go, this could be just what you need to find out if golf is the game for you.
Come along to Stressholme, an official adult starter centre to meet people, get active and learn a new sport.
