Central Into Work Project

This project aims to directly encourage jobless residents in Bank Top, North Road, Northgate and Central Wards of Darlington to take up training and/or employment opportunities.  Working on a one to one basis providing advice, information and support in training, job vacancies, cv help, interview techniques and encouraging employers to open up more opportunities to these residents.

Cycling

Housing Benefit

If you are working and on a low income, you can get Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit to help with your housing costs.  If you are already receiving Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit and you start work, you must tell the Housing Benefit section straight away.  You can still get help with your rent and your Council Tax if you are on a low income and in some cases you can get your full entitlement to benefit for the first 4 weeks of work.  Ask us about claiming extended payments.
