The Community Partnerships section has developed strong links for achieving community involvement using both formal and informal mechanisms. We recognise the role that residents representatives can play and the contribution they can make towards continually improving services.
The Council supports and encourages the development of local Residents Associations and the over arching Residents Panel comprising of representatives from the local Associations and independent members. Currently we support 9 Residents Associations, which are:
Branksome
Red Hall
Lascelles
Springfield
Skerne Park/Parkside
Lascelles Park
North Riverside (North Road)
Firthmoor
Whinfield
For further information on meeting dates/times please call Community Partnership on 01325 388527.
We take a proactive approach to tenant involvement and encourage all residents to communicate regularly advising us of problems and issues. We listen to what is said and act upon it. We attend and support all of the residents groups, and hold monthly coffee mornings for those living in our wardened accommodation.
We contribute to the many newsletters that the above groups write as well as the Council's Hot News which is a quarterly publication for all tenants and leaseholders.
