Pre-Application Advice: "One Stop Shop"

At Darlington, we are looking at ways of increasing the efficiency of the Development Control Service.  One goal is to seek to smooth out as many potential problems and issues at pre-application stage so that so far as possible development proposals are shaped into an acceptable form by the time the formal application is made.  This is outlined in the following leaflet:

If you would like us to evaluate your proposal in advance of you submitting an application, the following form can be used to provide brief details:

A rough plan is required.  You may either use the back of the form for this or provide it on a separate sheet if you prefer.  Alternatively, you can send in a letter or email identifying the work you wish to do, along with a sketch and location plan.

Please return your completed form (plus any attachments, plans or other relevant details) to us by one of the following methods:

Post to:   Development Section, Chief Executive's Department, Town Hall, Darlington, DL1 5QT.
