Pre-Application Advice: "One Stop Shop"

Do you..

  • Have plans for building works or other developments?
  • Have business premises, but wish to change the current use or alter/extend them?

Are you...

  • Unsure if you need permission or if you need to pay anything?

The One Stop shop is an advisory service offered by us to identify the consents required and advise on how to apply for them. We can offer advice on major issues and can tell you if permission is likely to be granted.

If you would like us to evaluate your proposal in advance of you submitting an application free of charge, the following form can be used to provide brief details:

Informal enquiry form for proposed development [pdf document]

A rough plan is required.  You may either use the back of the form for this or provide it on a separate sheet if you prefer.  Alternatively, you can send in a letter or email identifying the work you wish to do, along with a sketch and location plan.

After we have received your form, we will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your enquiry and will inform you of the results of the One Stop Shop meeting - we will try and give you advice within 15 working days.

This service is applicable to business applications only.  Householder enquiries are dealt with separately.

Please return your completed form (plus any attachments, plans or other relevant details) to us
