Borough of Darlington Local Plan
Introduction
The Plan consists of a Written Statement (i.e. the text) and a Proposals Map (actually a set of maps). The Written Statement sets out the policies and proposals of the Plan and the reasons for them. The Proposals Map illustrates them on an Ordnance Survey base.
How to use the online Local Plan
- Click on the image below to open the Plan.
- The Plan opens at the Proposals Map. Click on the part of the Borough in which you are interested, or select an inset map from the drop-down menu. The key ('legend') to the Map is in the left-hand frame.
- Clicking on the relevant part of the legend will take you to the text of the chosen policy or proposal in the Written Statement.
- You can view the Proposals Map and the Written Statement at the same time by clicking one of the "in new window" buttons.
Alternately, at step 2 above, you can go directly to the Written Statement by clicking on the 'See Written Statement' button. This will open the list of Contents. Then click on the Contents to go to the relevant chapter.
