Darlington College: New Learning Park
The Scheme
The Darlington College of Technology appointed a contractor to build a £33 million state of the art Learning Park at Haughton Road, on part of the Central Park development site. The learning complex includes a young peoples' centre; university centre; sports & leisure complex; food court & restaurant; hair & beauty salons; health & childcare centre; technology centre for engineering, construction and computing and hi-tech media centre including design, television and radio stations.

Progress
Installation of underground cabling was completed in March 2005. Building works commenced in February 2005 and is largely complete. The new college opened in late-August 2006.
