Residents are being encouraged to pay a visit to a series of family fun events taking place and have their say on life in Darlington at the same time.

They are part of Darlington Council’s Talking Together initiative, which gives residents the chance to air their views on issues affecting them. Visitors can talk to representatives of the Council, as well as the Police, Arriva and Darlington Primary Care Trust (PCT).

Consultations have taken place on the draft planning and development briefs for the sites of former Springfield Primary School (Salters Lane South), Beaumont Hill Schools (Glebe Road), Albert Hill Nursery and Sadberge School.  These briefs will underpin any redevelopment on these sites.  A summary of the comments have been made available.

TextVibe is a simple way of making sure people stay in touch and get to know what is happening in the community. It is currently running as a pilot project for the young people of Darlington where it will help keep them informed and will provide another, more familiar way for them to have their say.
