Congratulatory messages and commemorative marriage certificates
As part of your celebrations, you may wish to send/receive a congratulatory message from the Queen. These celebratory messages are not sent automatically and you will need to apply within sufficient time in order to receive the message.

Congratulatory messages are normally only available to “Citizens of the Realm” or UK Overseas Territories. Full details of countries within these categories can be found on the British Monarchy Website [external link]

A birth or marriage certificate is usually required as evidence. Should you require a copy of a birth certificate, please contact the Registration District where the Birth or Marriage took place.
Commemorative Marriage Certificates.
These are available for Silver (25 years), Ruby (40 years), Gold (50 years) and Diamond (60 years) Wedding Anniversaries from the General Register Office.
