How does the CDRP decides its priorities?
Every year the CDRP undertakes a strategic assessment which is reviewed every six months. This means it gathers information from a variety of sources including police statistics and information from the public. This information is used to make action plans and resources are deployed accordingly.
In the Action Plans partners agree to undertake specific pieces of work in addition to their normal duties, that the partnership feels will help combat any problems shown in the assessment.
In addition to the long-term action plans the structure of the groups allows short-term interventions around specific issues at the different levels. There are also additional groups that deal with Priority and Prolific Offenders .
