Important information about car parking in Darlington

From August 2011, an all day charge of £1 will be introduced on Sundays in council-run car parks and from Monday August 1 the three hours for £2 offer will be removed. This will mean parking for three hours will cost £3.

The changes were agreed part of a package of measures introduced to make essential savings as part of the Council’s Medium Term Financial Plan.

A number of Talking Together events were held last year, giving residents and traders the chance to have their say about the proposals with all comments discussed and considered before the decision was made.
