There is now a convenient way to pay for car parking in Darlington town centre.
From September 3 2007 you will be able to pay for car parking using your mobile phone, a quick and easy way to pay for parking which means that:
- no more hunting for a Pay and Display machine
- no more worrying about having change
- no need to display a ticket in your vehicle
- no more expired tickets - get reminders on your phone*
- no need to rush back - extend your parking time on your mobile*
You can pay for your parking by phone or through a text message. Each car park in Darlington has a reference code, all you need to do is call or text your details, wait for confirmation and you're ready to park!
Once you have an account, you can view information about previous transactions and edit your details on the Verrus Website
This system is provided by Verrus UK ltd and is already being used in car parks across the country.
* there is a 10p charge for each text reminder and a charge of 10p to extend your parking (where permitted)
