We offer a range of apprenticeship opportunities in a variety of vocations to give people the chance to gain useful on-the-job experience and training.

Apprentices will work towards gaining nationally recognised qualifications, whilst working in their chosen environment.

We also offer Foundation Learning [pdf Document] courses to support and develop people, helping them to gain employability and personal development skills to progress to an Apprenticeship, further training or employment.

Employment Information - Apprenticeships

All 16-18 learners will be employed for the duration of the course on a wage of £2.65 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week. All learners will be receive a minimum of 20 days holiday per year and sign an Apprenticeship Agreement detailing the terms and conditions of their employment.

Training Programme - Apprenticeships

In general, all learners will attend the Training centre 1 day per week to complete the Technical Certificate and theory aspects of the course, spending the other 4 days out in the employed placement gaining the skills and knowledge to fulfil their role.

They will complete an NVQ or Diploma, a Technical Certificate and Functional Skills in order to fulfil the requirements of their Apprenticeship Framework.

Training Programme – Foundation Learning

All learners will attend the training centre 3 days per week and will work towards an employability award, vocational qualifications and functional skills. This will develop their skills and make them ready for their chosen pathway.

All learners will be encouraged to take part in a minimum of 15 hours of work experience to prepare them for work. You will be paid £20 per week based on attendance and achievement (approximately £400 for the duration of the course).
