
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) aims to end the discrimination many disabled people face.
The act was passed by parliament in 1995 and first came into force in 1996, the final rights of access come into force in October 2006.
The act gives disabled people rights in three areas:
- employment.
- access to goods, facilities and services.
- buying or renting land or property.
