"I have been working with the Youth Service for a while now. I've done a lot of different courses and been involved in loads of events. Its a good laugh and you really feel as though your opinion counts. The courses that I've done have been about issues important to young people...its not like loads of written work and stuff...you actually enjoy the different sessions and get a lot out of it. I wouldn't have done more courses if they had been boring and stuff! I think all young people should get involved cos they would get loads out of it!"

"I was at a meeting yesterday for Longfield School at the end of which one of the assistant heads came up and spoke to me about the work we are doing in the school... she recounted a story about how a young girl who had stopped coming to school through bullying. When they got her back into school... the assistant head was not sure what she could do and called in a school mentor who was there within 5 minutes and who did work and is still working with this girl who has been at school ever since"
