The Young Voices Event on 12th December 2006 celebrated the achievement of young people in Darlington.
Darlington Youth Service deliver accredited training packages to young people in schools, youth clubs and projects. These training courses are based on issues that affect young people today. The Young Voices Event was an opportunity to recognise the excellent work that young people do.
Young representatives from areas such as Peer Mentoring, Peer Education, Youth Achievement Awards and the Duke of Edinburgh awards all attended the event which was held at Darlington Football Stadium.
Videos made by young people and Youth Workers were showcased at the event. Over 350 young people have gained accreditation through working with the Youth Service during 2006, and we hope many more will in 2007!
