Associated Areas for Hummersknott Academy

The following areas have been deemed by the Academy's Governing Body to be Associated Areas for over-subscription criteria (see the 2017/18 School Admissions Guide for Parents) to Hummersknott Academy.

Park East Ward

Children living in the area to the south of Parkside within the Ward of Park East in the Borough of Darlington as identified in the area hatched on the map.

Heighington and High Coniscliffe Ward

Children living within the Ward of Heighington and Coniscliffe in the Borough of Darlington as identified on the map.

Where the distance from home to Hummersknott Academy is less than three miles or the Academy is not designated by the Local Authority as the nearest appropriate school then transport will NOT be provided to this Academy by the Local Authority unless an applicant is eligible or it is classed as an unsafe walking route.

However, Darlington schools have made arrangements to support transport for children not eligible under the statutory arrangements through the introduction of a charging policy.

  • Great Stainton

The rural areas of

  • Sockburn
  • Low Dinsdale
  • Hurworth Moor
