Draft policies map - Now Withdrawn (Hidden)
The public consultation phase on the Making and Growing Places: Preferred Options Development Plan Document ended in August 2013. The document sets out the Council’s view on the amount, type and location of new development in the Borough over the coming years and sets out draft policies and proposals for how this might be achieved. The next steps for this document will soon be considered by the Council's Place Scrutiny Committee.
The draft policies listed in the Making and Growing Places planning document can be viewed on a new draft Policies Map [external link] or by clicking on the map.
Once finalised, policies within the Making and Growing Places document will become the newly adopted policies, replacing saved policies in the existing Borough of Darlington Local Plan, and they will be used with the Darlington Core Strategy to assess all planning applications.
