Christmas cards and wrapping paper can be recycled – please put them in the caddy inside your recycling wheeled bin or in your blue bag.
Collections return to normal on Tuesday 2 January. Your refuse and recycling bins should be put out by 7am on the morning of collection and brought in from the kerbside once they have been emptied.
Recycle your Christmas tree
The Council is not running a Christmas tree recycling scheme this year but you can still take your tree to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, Whessoe Road. Alternatively why not ask Darlington Rotary Club to get rid of your tree and help St Teresa’s Hospice? For a small donation to the hospice, volunteers will come and collect your tree.
To book a collection register and pay online at www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk [external link] or call 01325 254321.
