The Care Act 2014
The Care Act 2014 is the biggest change to adult health and social care law in over 60 years. The Act replaces lots of other care laws, many were old fashioned or confusing and needed to go.
The Act will ensure that people;
- are supported to keep as well as possible;
- get the services they need to help prevent or delay their care needs from becoming more serious;
- can get the information, advice and guidance they need to make good decisions about care and support; and
- have a good range of providers to choose from.
This section of the website has been created to help give an understanding of the Care Act changes in Adult Social Care.
