Stop Smoking Services

To stop smoking there are several different treatments are available from shops, pharmacies and on prescription to help beat addiction and reduce withdrawal symptoms. The best treatment will depend on personal preference, age, pregnancy or breastfeeding and any other medical conditions. Contact the GP, Nurse or Midwife for advice. Evidence shows that any treatment is most effective if used alongside support and advice from an NHS stop smoking service. This is a free service provided by a number of local community pharmacies and GPs.
