Who do you keep information about?

Any individual who purchases a resident parking permit in the Borough of Darlington.

Why do you keep information about me?

We keep information about you so that we can administer the resident’s parking scheme.

Personal data is processed for the purposes of complying with a contractual obligation.

Who can see my information?

Access within the local authority is restricted to staff in the Parking Processing and Customer Service teams. We may share your information as part of the Government's National Fraud Initiative.

How do you store the information you keep about me?

Information is hosted off site on a secure network server by Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions.

How long do you keep information about me?

Financial records are kept for 3 years.  Supporting application documentation is documents 2 years.

This information is destroyed securely when it reaches its retention.

What sort of information do you keep?

We may use the following information about you to make sure that we provide you with the right service, advice or support.  We will only use the minimum amount of information necessary to do so and will take every reasonable step to ensure the information is accurate. 

Personal data:

• Identification number;
• Location data;
• One or more factors specific to the economic identity of a person.
