There’s a full calendar of events and activities happening in Darlington over the coming months. Whether you live in the borough or you’re just visiting there are plenty of fun events and activities to choose from. Join us for the Jazz festival, Community Carnival, 10k run and Festival of Ingenuity as well as a host of other events including Proms in the Park and The Rhythm and Blues Festival.

A Theatre Hullabaloo production. A magical dreamland of sleepy byes for you and your baby Join us as we enter a magical dreamland of sleepy byes in this playful, peaceful and wonderful performance for you and your baby. Performed in a specially created magical space, gentle lullabies will transport you to the Land of Nod in this sensory, immersive show that combines music, light, sound, shadow and song to stimulate and engage the youngest senses. Lullabub is created by specialists in the field of theatre for the very young and informed by the latest research in baby sensory development. The show is for toddlers aged 13-30 months and their grown-ups. Combined baby and grown up ticket £10. If you need additional tickets alongside a combined ticket, these can be purchased by phoning the Box Office on 01325 405 405 The show is presented in two versions, for babies aged 0-12 months and their grown -ups and toddlers ages 13-30 months and their grown-ups

Darlington Community Carnival is back for 2018 with a range of family entertainment and live music throughout the day. The theme 'Heroes & Heroines' is a topic focussing on people who are admired for their courage and outstanding achievements.

Join us in and around Darlington Market Place from 9:45am, for the best in local dance, music and carnival. Then follow the parade through town to Stanhope Park, where you can spend the day being entertained for FREE, with an even wider range of food and bar options, not to mention a great number of stalls supporting great local charities, in addition to family games and rides.

70 Mile Cycle Ride

The 70 mile ride is now established and follows the route created by members of Darlington Cycling Club. The ride covers some of County Durham’s most scenic areas. Check in point is at Barnard Castle.
