Briefing event to be held for prospective Police and Crime Commissioner Candidates

PROSPECTIVE candidates, for the upcoming Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election, can find out more about what is involved at a Candidates Briefing event.

The event is being held on Wednesday 24th February, 2pm-5pm at County Hall in Durham.

Candidates will hear about the arrangements for the election, the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner and their Office, information about Durham Constabulary and information about working in partnership with other organisations.

The briefing event is open to anyone interested in standing as the PCC in the election on Thursday 5th May for the Durham Constabulary area. The ODPCC is independent of any political party and supports the publicly elected PCC in his or her role during their term of office.
