Range of opportunities on offer at Learning & Skills open day

Young and old would-be learners will have the chance to find out more about courses and apprenticeships on offer at the Learning & Skills Open Day at Tubwell Row, Darlington on Tuesday 6 September from 10am to 2pm.

Courses for young people include apprenticeships, diplomas and study programmes whilst parents, carers and grandparents who want to help their children at school, may be interested in Family Learning. Also on offer are GCSEs in English and Maths and Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT.

Career-minded adults can choose from different options of learning to support career development. There is also a wide range of learning for leisure courses on offer including cookery, languages and much more.

Cyndi Hughes, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, said: “You are never too old or young to learn and this is an ideal opportunity to meet the team and find out more about what’s on offer for all ages and interests.”
